Mary Leshay, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, has deep roots in her community, currently calling Newfield home. For the past decade, Mary has dedicated her time and energy to volunteering at SJRAS, where her compassion for animals shines through her work. Prior to her involvement at SJRAS, Mary volunteered for Bayada, providing support and care for hospice patients, showcasing her commitment to helping others during vulnerable times.
After a fulfilling 25-year career at Inspira hospital, Mary transitioned into a new chapter of her life, now working on her family farm. Her connection to the land and animals is evident, especially in her long standing love for German Shepherds. As a devoted owner and enthusiast of the breed, Mary’s life is enriched by the companionship and loyalty of these remarkable dogs. In her spare time, Mary can be found reading a good book or hiking with her husband.
